Mr. Kris P. Moloney was given the vision for the Shields of Faith Ministries in October 2002.  Kris' prior experience working as an officer with the Huntsville Police Department in Alabama helped him to understand the struggles of Christian police officers.  Through a men's Bible study series, Kris examined his life and saw how God had formed his experiences to prepare him to start a ministry for law enforcement.  Kris began by creating the Shields of Faith web site to begin his outreach.  As time went on, Kris saw that more needed to be done and the ministry began to evolve. 

In 2004, Robert Lundberg, a good friend and follower of Jesus Christ, also caught the vision of Shields of Faith and joined the team to help lay the administrative foundation of the organization.  Shields of Faith Ministries was incorporated in September 2006 and became a non-profit in December 2007, as a result of his efforts.  

In 2007, Pastor Roger Barcus, a Saint Paul Police Department chaplain and pastor of Saint Paul Apostolic Tabernacle church joined Shields of Faith Ministries to help launch the first pilot program.
